SCA Pathways: Intro to Coffee, Barista Foundation, and Barista Intermediate

The Crown is proud to offer SCA Pathways at our Premier Campus in the heart of Oakland! The SCA’s Coffee Skills Program consists of educational Modules including Introduction to Coffee, Barista Skills, Brewing, Green Coffee, Roasting, and Sensory Skills. Other than Introduction to Coffee, each module is taught at three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Professional.

This week-long course will offer Introduction to Coffee (Feb 17, $500), the Barista Skills Foundation Level (Feb 18, $500), and the Barista Skills Intermediate Level modules (Feb 19 – Feb 21, $1,300). You can register for individual classes, or sign up for all three for $2,000. Snacks & Lunch will be provided each day.

Q Arabica Cupping Essentials

The QCE is a new, 3-day course in the Q Program in which students learn the critical cupping skills needed to properly evaluate specialty coffee quality. Light breakfast and lunch are included in the cost. We’ve limited this class at 6 students to ensure the best learning experience.
